I have an opportunity to get an exhaust system from a friend cause he just wrecked his GT. Here is what it consists of. Hooker Super competiion long tube headers with o/r X pipe. Hooker super competion catback system with Max flow mufflers. He only had it on the car for about 2 weeks so it's basically brand new and cost his $1500 all together and he said he'll sell it to me if I can get $750 by the weekend. I just wanted to know if anyone was running this setup and if so how does it sound? I never got the chance to hear his so how loud would it be? Just looking for anyones opinions.

I'd buy the headers, and xpipe. I have no idea how the catback sounds, so that's why I'd pass on that.

hookers quality and fitment is awesome. not to mention that you're able to pull the tranny without removing the passenger side manifold to do work.

I say do it. Hooker Longtubes alone make it worth the deal. Those are over 500 by themselves easy. Put it on and if you dont like it, you could always sell the catback by itself for close to 300 and buy whatever catback you want with that money. Win win situation.

Hooker makes great products but make sure that they aren't damged from th accident. I was originally going to go with hooker but instead went with SLP both IMO sound great and have gotten good reviews.

I would do it. $750 for LTs, x-pipe and catback, thats defiantly worth it. Try it out and see if you like it, you can always switch out the catback for a differnt sound if for some reason you dont like the Hooker catback.
