I found this roll bar in a mustang on ebay. It looks very nice.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-Ford-Mustang-5-0Lx_W0QQitemZ120075861533QQihZ002QQcategoryZ6236QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I also found it on dallasmustang's website for 480 in chrome. No welding necessary. It is made by Hooker( a Holley brand). Has anyone had any experience with this roll bar?

I Have a hooker roll bar in my vert. It was easy to install. No welding was required. More of a show bar than a roll bar if you ask me. I flip/flop all the time to whether i like it or not.

Looks like it's just for show. If your car is fast enough to need a cage at the track, that definitely won't pass tech.

do they make it in other colors? I would like to have one for futuremods, isn't it like a 12.5 or faster in a vert needs at least a 4 point. MM ones look nice, anyone have pics of those?

Sorry for threadjack

I'm not sure exactly what the time is for verts that you need a bar, but that one won't pass tech. I don't know what the material is like, but it would definitely have to be welded. Just bolted together won't pass.
