Check your fuses,
For my 1990 LX it's under the area by the steering wheel it's a little black box. I had the same problem and I just checked all of the fuses to make sure they weren't cracked and sure enough I found one and it was for the horn and the cruise control.

I had the same problem. What mine was is the horn button was shorting everything on the wheel out. the sponge that was seperating the two metal peices was worn out which means it was always on. the little box was also a problem on mine as well.

I had the same problem as well .. horn and cruise stopped working ... check your fuses ... that was my problem.

On a side not it happened to me aswell when i dropped some change into the open cig lighter. It must have shorted something and blew the fuse. Their should be a diagram on the cover of the fuse box, which #s the appropriate fuses.

Ha, thats funny zero...i have had that same problem, you'd think ford would have made a cover for the ashtray /cig lighter , or atleast one that wasnt infamous for breaking! Who ever came up with that design should be strung out at every ford event for fox body owners to throw darts at! Thats what i call a democracy
