Where can I find a chart or formula where I punch in my numbers and it gives an approximate horsepower and torque estimate?

Thanks

I looked at those, problem is, I don't know my cars track time or speed. I just want to estimate what my new engine that I'm building might have.

Click to expand...

Hmmm... all the formulas I've seen require you to know either torque or hp

To determine the rotary horsepower of an object into rotary motion (rpm) use the following equation.

Equation:

P = tn/5250

Where:

P = Power, hp
N = Rotational shaft speed, rpm
T = Torque, lb-ft

or

horsepower = weight * [velocity/234] cubed

Just go to DEQ, and say you need to have it checked, so you know what to work on when you take it through for real. They dyno it, it wont be as close as say a pro shop but it will give you a good # to work with.
