I was bored and decided to see how much power it takes for a bike modern liter bike, supra, luxury SUV to hit typical speeds.
Factoring in air resistance
Bike:
R1 696 pounds including 200 pound rider
.60 cD 6.1sqft
Supra mkiv/almost the same as a mustang:
3700 including driver
.32 cD 20.75sqft
SUV escalade/navigator early 2000's:
6000
.41 cd 35sqft
OKay the table bellow came out messy.
But funny how a bike takes
161HP to hit 180mph
262HP to hit 210mph
Yet a supra requires
355HP to hit 180mph
594HP to hit 210mph
People should be aware any high HP car will eventually start pulling on a bike. That's why i think if you don't pull the bike at 40mph and beyond you didn't win.
