Trinity_GT's post is very good for torque-at-the-wheels comparaison, but it's also based on the max torque.
It was meant to illustrate the differences in torque at the wheels for each car. It is quite difficult to make such a comparison when the powerplants are so differrent. 240HP at 8300RPM?
A GT torque curve is quite flat compared to a S2000, and it's peak is at ~3000rpm, but the S2000 is more like 6000rpm. At 3000rpm the S2000 still has nothing
Actually, the S2000's torque curve is relatively flat as well, it's just never that large. That's the beauty of the variable valve timing scheme, one that allows "low RPM lobes" at low RPM and "high RPM lobes" at high RPM.
