How about this for a GT setup - comments.

looks good, but I think the 18" wheels look better - JMO- I had the chrome AFS 17 x 9 and 17 x 10.5 on my 03 cobra and I regretted not buying the 18's everytime I saw one with them ! For straight line performance the 17's are better and a little lighter. Good Luck -let us know when you get your gt !!

England--where I was first introduced to Stella (wifebeater).....ahhh the good old days...

To keep this tech--yeah looks like a good setup...

why kinda emission tests does England have? I was going to say go catless and get LTs :nice:
Emissions tests are quite strict, once a year MOT for cars over 3 years old, but you may be pulled over at the side of the road for random checks too, so the Cats are a legal requirement and the CO emissions are tested from the exhaust, they will have to stay :( although with a blower it will only be 10-12hp down with them, as for LT's I like the idea, but Kenne Bell reckon with the blower they will only give a few extra ponies, so for the cost and the hassel for small gains I didn't think it would be worth it. I'm only really doing the exhaust for the sound and if it gives me a few ponies too, then the better.

With all the bits listed it should be 400rwhp (have seen claims of 430rwhp on lesser setups) which will be more than enough.

Sorry but we've seen little or no gain on a 4.6 GT.We do know that the Bassani cat back system with X-pipe and no pre-cats makes 15HP. That's as good as it gets. There will be more upcoming tests. The results will appear in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords Magazine. At 14psi, with stock exhaust and cats, we made 507HP. The Bassani is the best we've tested. Cats? I've never seen "high flow" cat(s) ever make any power over a stock cat. A cat will typically burn up 10HP on a 300HP engine. Dual cats lower it to 5HP. Run 600HP through duals (300HP per cat) and you're back to a 10HPdrop.

HEADERS

Long tubes make very little, if any, power or actually lose power according to our customer reports. They eliminate the pre-catalytic converters. That isn't 50 state legal. And don't confuse any power gains from removing the pre-cats with header gains. Pre-cat and cat removal will net around 10HP. In our opinion, headers for the 4.6 GT aren't worth the small peak power gains and expense. Always keep in mind that any power gain from exhaust (headers, cat back, and cats) is incrementally proportional to engine air flow/HP and reduced back pressure. That's why some products make "0" Hp on stock or +100HP engines but more on a +200HP engine. Every component has its limitsExample: If the headers make 20HP at 700HP but nothing a 400, 500, and 10HP at 600HP why would you buy headers for an engine that will never make 600 or 700HP?

well im guessing kenne bell is saying that's how it is with a blower on, but I still don't see how that makes sense, you're forcing more air into the engine but why doesn't opening the exhaust up help?

I know for a fact that's not true on N/A cars, but I've seen a couple people with LTs and their S/C cars  maybe one of them can shed some light on this

I think what kenne bell is saying is that there is no huge gain in power from bolt on mods with there kit.

the 9psi kit with a stock car and there CAI, maf, and TB will put down 400hp+ so no need to speed all this extra money on the other parts.

I think most would agree that the 9psi kit will take the stock bottom end as far as you need to go.

I mean they have shown 500hp at 14psi boost with no headers or other mods.

I am sure longtubes will still give you 15hp or so but do you really need it? when you can just add more pulley if you want more power?

I agree 100%! I wish I would have done the same thing...in fact...want to buy my 17's? you can get them cheap...then I can buy some 18's

yea, n/a or blown, the lt's tend to rob hp and torque until about 4,500 rpm's, if I remember correctly, big deal like 5 hp gain after that rpm, I would not put them on if I did it again, there was an article in 5.0 mustang, and they were saying how good that was ?

Correct.

There are two sides to this as well.

Basically HP is actually a calculation of the amount of torque produced at different rpms.

By adding LT's (and some other mods) all you are doing is pushing the torque further up the rpm, which when used with the calculation gives you more HP. However it also means you usually have less power in the lower rpms, so you have to drive the car harder to get the power. It depends on what you want from the car, the highest peak numbers (HP/torque) doesn't ALWAYS mean it will be the fastest car. Especially on the road.

Secondly is the amount extra you will gain, if you only have 230rwhp then a gain of 10HP or more is a large %, but if you are making 400rwhp. 10HP extra won't really make any difference to performance, but it will still cost a lot of time, hassel and money.
