I just had 12" resonators or glasspack type mufflers installed. Cleaned up the sound and took the edginess and the raspiness away without sacrificing too much volume. I guess it took away 10-12 db.
Not that I want to bring back a thread that is over a year old but I'm new to forums and I thought I'd post an exhaust clip of my car. I have a UPR O/R X- pipe and the Pypes Mid- Muffler cat- back. The muffler deletes were almost impossible to fit properly so I went and made my own and welded in 4 x 18 Magnaflow tips with new hangers. I wasn't expecting anything at all but it changed the sound a lot. I personally think this is as close as I'm going to get to the sound of the 2v's and 4v's.
