I have the standard brake pedal assy. on my car. A previous owner converted to discs. How difficult is it to replace the assy.? I have a pressure switch that I can install. But, I may have found a pedal assy. for a good price, and am considering going ahead and switching it over. Car is an automatic, by the way. Thanks in advance.

I think we are confusing a few things.
By standard pedal assy , do you mean with out a power booster? If so you will need a power brake booster unit. A pressure switch? I no nothing.
No need to change the pedal, the rod on the end of the pedal should be changed to the booster pedal rod when the booster is installed. I guess you could run standard brake system with disks but that would be defeating the purpose.

The 67-70 power brake required a longer pedal, which hung from a special pivot at the top of the bracket. Except for some early 67 cars, they were all drilled for this pedal, so there is probably no need to change the support, just install the special pedal. For about $85, you can get this pedal new.

You are indeed asking Question of to the 67-70 Mustangs. No 65 66 were Power Disc.

Yes, as 2+2 has stated, all Factoryu-Assembly line Mustang and Cougar had a Power Disc Pedal. Which is Different than a Manual Brake Pedal.

It Done indeed Actuate off a Different Pivot Point on the Support.

If Doing this RIGHT (Not a Cockeyed "It will Fit") install, you will need to Pedal to fit Correctly.

Pressure Switch--A Bit Confused??

Distribution BlocK??

Proportioning Valve?

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to a hydraulic brake light switch, like this one:

That's what I thought. How difficult is it to remove/install?
