I'm pretty sure the leak I have is coming from the spot where the fill tube/dipstick meets the tranny, I have heard that the o-rings here fail once in a while. I've never messed with the fill tube on the tranny, is this something relatively easy to fix?
Very Easy.
1. Get the new O ring.
2. Clean the area aroung the dipstick tube, where it goes into the trans so no dirt falls in.
3. Remove the bolt that holds the tube at the bell housing behind the head.
4. Pull the tube out.
5. Remove the old O-ring, and install the new one.
6. Put it back together,
Note: Have a pan or bucket handy incase some fluid comes out.
