I need to replace the guage lights in my 66 but I can't figure out how to get them out. There's those green plastic things covering them, but they look pretty solid and I don't want to break anything, yet. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If it's like my 70, they come out from behind. You twist the housing 90* and that allows the bulb with socket to come out.

I don't quite understand what you are talking about concerning the green things, but to remove a light socket on a 66' you must push the socket sideways while pulling.

The socket on a 66' is basically little springs (actually just parts of the socket.) All you can really break is the bulb that is inside.

The green things you mention, are they the ones under the afore mentioned lights which make the gauges appear green at night?

Yeah, the light filters. No problem though, I've taken care of everything. Thanks anyways.
