How do you build a relatively cheap 331?

Could a use maybe a steel Scat crank (around $300 I guess)
hyperpistons or forged
and some rods (I beam)
and hopefully machine work won't be too much

go with forged and a nodular iron crank...i beams.......should be reliltivly cheap....

or call brian at www.adperformance.com

I was thinking about the same thing for a while. It them came to me that if i am going to do it i might as well do it right. I wouldn't go with cheep parts because down the line you will regret it

I completely agree. The best way to build a cheap engine is to use good parts the first time so you dont have to rebuild the engine again when the cheap parts blow up. Seriously, spending more up front on good stuff is better than paying for cheap parts twice.
