how do you hale shaft a throttle body

how do you half shaft a throttle body

anybody know or heard of it, i have heard of it before and i am going to do this on my 95. anybody got any pics or info

i forgot exactly how it works but i think you cut a little out of the buttterfly. when i get some more info i will post up.

uhhh wouldnt that just be like drilling a hole in it? like to solve an idle prob maybe? i dont see where you are going with this.

no i found a thread with pics in the v6 forum. a lot of v6er's do it since the 99 and up 3.8 uses about 330 cfm of air at 5500 rpm it makes a little bit of difference but it is free. now on the other hand a 94-98 v6 like mine has only a 50mm throttle body so doing this can up the air flow up to 10% at high rpm. i got that from this link. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=383801&highlight=half+shafting

so it works mostly for v6's and smaller engines that already do not use much air
