Im getting getting alot of brake drive, someone said it would be wise to change them, also how important is the rear struts when it comes to drag racing and aiding launching, im thinking i dont wanna get adjustable ones for the rear and only for the front

What's brake drive? You mean brake DIVE? Like when you hit your brakes the front end dives down real hard? To see if your shocks/struts are bad, push down firmly on the front (or rear) of the car. It should spring back up and stop, if it bounces up and down, then the shocks are weak. Also, if they're bad, then on the highway the front end will "float" (rise and fall with the bumps) excessively. As for drag racing, I think springs are more important than the shocks/struts. But that's about all I know. Hope this helps.

I don't know if I buy into the bouce test for shocks/struts...

I pulled the originals out a couple weeks ago and it passed that test with 11 years and 130k miles on them. They were toast. I had a lot of brake dive before too. now I don't but I also changed springs so I am sure that helped a lot too.

If you've got stock shocks/struts, you're better off replacing them now.

As mentioned, springs make a big difference. Do a search on drag springs and you'll surely find good stuff their. I'm into handling, so most of the stuff I've got wouldn't benefit you at all.

no i will for sure end up with springs that will lower the car, but i was tryna still work with that, its still my daily driver and i was concerned with how important are the rear shocks as far as do i need adjustable ones to match the adjustable ones in the front, I plan on getting adjustables in the front so i can get my front end to lift for weight transfer . I just dont know how important adjustable ones in the rear are going to be

all around , even in the rear? I was leaning towards these but im not sure, i hear there harder to adjust kuz u gotta get down underneath the car, seems like the tokico drags may be better. Im not sure how hard changing the setting is gonna be once my car is lowered specially if you cant see the setting its on once under the car , heh probably hafta keep a flashlight on me just for that

Yeah... I didnt try the new ones... the stockers i could pull out and shove back in with no problem when the strut mount broke and I replaced it all up there.
