How do YOU wire to your battery?

I used to run my power cable to the alternate power source (fuse box) but it seemed to mess with my alternator and made my battery light blink on and off.

Do you guys use a piece of hardware to hook your power cable to your battery?

thats hot, where can I pick that up? How big is your amp? You running stock alternator and battery?

you can get them off ebay or most stereo shop.

that would work, if your only running one wire it might be easier to use a ring terminal on your stock clamp.

Where can I get a ring terminal? I have one but can't figure out how to rig it to my stock clamp...

Yeah man, dont overcomplicate the issue. Any stereo place should have a large guage ring terminal for 8,6,4 guage wire etc. Crimp that to the end of your amp power cable and put some heat shrink around the connection to make it pretty. Then just attatch that to the battery post using the existing bolt/nut that holds on the factory battery cable.

Put your fuse whervever it is convenient...
