I have a auto car so I got the hypertech programer to correct my speedodometer. As far as performance gains i really can't feel a SOTP but I leave the hypertune in anyway. You also can change the shift points. I plan to sell mine and buy the new dioblio preditor when it comes out.

I have had my programmer for about 2 years now and they are Ok for when you have several bolt-ons, like i do. But when you get all of your mods and you want to get the most out of your car, its time for a custom tuned chip.

I'd go for a mail-order SCT chip from Modular Depot, http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com, or anyone else that sells them before I'd buy a programmer. They simply don't offer enough "tuning" that you can play around with. You might also consider either the Steeda EEC reflash or Cobra Killer's own N/A tune. Both are adaptive like the stock computer but heres why I went with the Steeda tune.

I could have bought a Speedcal and timing adjuster for about $250 or I could get the Steeda reflash for just a bit more and have a better overall tune. It was a simple choice for me. If you might be interested in that, check out http://www.modularfordpowerhouse.com
