How many miles on your S197, total and yearly

So, who drives their car a lot and who keeps em in the garage?

My '06, bought new off the lot on Aug 27, 2006 as a leftover just turned 90,000. So I'm just under 20k a year. How many out there actaully daily drive their car like I do? BTW, as long as the tires are decent, it's pretty damn good in the winter.

I bought mine Oct. 28th of '04. I currently have 79,000 miles. I actually put a lot of those on recently. I hit the 5 years before the 60,000 miles of the warranty. I would agree with the car being pretty good in the snow, even with the stock Pirellis. She did sit in a garage for the first time this winter.

Good to see a fellow GT owner who uses their car. I wonder how many guys DD their GTs, especially those of us that live where it snows? I see lots of V-6s year round, but not too many GTs. The way I look at it, I spent too much money not to enjoy my car as much as I can. If I wanted to preserve something and keep it pristine, I woulda bought a classic. At the end of the day, a modern Stang is just another car with added style and personality of course, why not drive it and enjoy it?

I have an 06 GT (on spray) and it's my DD. I'm in college and I live in MO, so it sees snow, rain, everything lol it actually just rolled over 50k miles a couple days ago. And I agree, I bought the car to enjoy it, not have it look nice in a garage!

I've got only 22K on the '07 (bought new 7/07). My excuse is that I was deployed about 6 months out of the year each year that I owned it. Of the 6 months I was home, more half was in the winter and I didn't chance it on the roads. Now that I am further south and not deploying, I would expect that number to go up. It is my DD.

06 GT, 98,000. 88 LX 5.0 357,000, bought both new. 88 was a Florida car, never saw snow, still starts right up. But it got beat up pretty bad in Hurricane Andrew and the new paint didn't hold up like factory.

06 sees everything. Still has no dings on the sides. Only changed rear brakes, battery, spark plugs, and one set of tires. Well that and exhaust mods...

I don't burn the tires up, but I drive them both fairly hard. Just easy on the shifts and launches.

25k on an '07. I don't drive it in the winter, 275/35 tires would not do so well in the snow. I will get it back on the road this week, I would do it today but got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday so I'm not going anywhere today.

Lucky you! Mine's been wrecked twice, the 1st was a minor $1800 ding to the right rear when it was less than 4 months old and then I got slammed big time by a dingbat who thought her Trailblazer could do 40+ in an ice storm. That cost $12k to fix! That was Dec. '08.

Rear brakes, a battery, and 2 sets of tires for me. Front brakes will get done this year though, they're getting thin. Still haven't done plugs yet Gonna let the dealer do that and take responsibility for any broken plugs

ok,here comes the garage queen.my 06 gt was bought in sept of 05 and has about 8400 miles on it.no ,it doesnt see rain or get driven much.i bought it as a play toy and not a dd.saleen supercharger makes about 460 at the rear through kooks headers and auto transmission and its a blast to drive.it shares a garage with a 99 lightning with 14,000 miles,a 66 mustang,and galaxie,and my midstates cobra i built about 24 years ago.so i only have so much time to drive them all but i do the best i can.oh,and i have a boss on order as a 60th birthday present.

Dick! LOL What year/powertrain is the Galaxie? I'll be getting a '67 Cougar XR-7 in the future. About 50K miles, black on black with a 4 speed. It was my uncle's car that he ordered and used as a daily driver till he went to 'Nam. When he got discharged, it turned into his garage queen. He passed away recently and my aunt and I have an understanding that when she's ready to sell, I get first dibs. She's in no hurry and quite frankly, I don't have a place to keep it, so neither am I.

I love the early to mid 60's cars before they started to get rounded. Heck, even the Chevy II/Nova from '65-'66 looks great to me. Maybe I love that "boxy" look cause I grew up looking at photos of my dad with his '66 Fairlane XL 500. He had a 289 with a 4 speed and drag raced it quite a bit, qualified for amateur nationals in whatever stock class it ran in, but couldn't get the time off from work to go.

I've got an '09 GT, it's my only car right now so I drive it everywhere. I'm close to work though so I only put on 8-10k a year and that's including a 2,200 mile round trip to North Carolina each year. I just creeped past 20,000 miles last month, been supercharged since 7,000 miles

Not my daily driver and gets garaged in winter. 13,346 miles. Felt real good when I took it out yesterday for the first time this year Miles are low but about 1000 of those miles are on Road America so maybe add a few

Lucky dog. I keep saying I'm gonna take the performance driving school at Mid Ohio (they have a class where you use your own car), but have never gotten around to it. Problem is I race dirtbikes (hence my avatar) and that eats up all my weekends and $$$ in the summer.

Another long commute DD here:

2007 GT

86,000 miles (original brakes, changed the tires at 83k)

I do 23k/year or so... 24mpg. It's an awesome daily driver!!

Dunno how I managed to stretch my wear parts for so long, but this car has had the lowest cost of ownership EVAR.

/that includes a day of racing on the road course at NJ Motorsports Park

Another DD GT here. My 05 is reaching 71k miles. Bought it 07/07 with only 10k on it so I'm averaging just over 15k per year.

I've changed all brakes although the stocks still had life. 3rd set of tires although the originals also still have life. NT555's don't last long. I killed a battery and 2 or 3 alternators.

I got my Black 06 GT in May of 06...28k on it (only been rained on once)...My Black 08 GT500...8k (doesnt get rained on either)...
