Hi Guys

Need some of your advice or suggestions please.

A friend of my in our car club has a 1965 fastback shell with No Major Rust and has almost all of the parts to put the car together.

Here's what's on the car already:

New Shocks
New Springs
New Tires

What he has already to put in the car:

New Air Conditioner
Front and Rear Glass
New Motor Mounts
New Seat Covers: Front & Rear
Used almost new Automatic O.D. Tranny
5.0 Short Engine Block. I seen the inside cylinders nice and clean.
Used 2bbl. carb.

I really can't list everything. However, he said he's got everything to build the car
with already.

He'sa straight-up guy. Needs the money to get out of the bills.
He told me that I wanted to put the car together and sell it. Really wanted to keep it and make a show car out of it ~ but like I said he needs the $$$ 4 bills.

He didn't ask me if I wanted to buy it. I'm presently restoring my '66 Convert.
I wasn't even looking to buy it. However, I thought someday I would like to have a fastback. Its a 2+2 shell.

Problem: I asked him " . . . how much would you want for the car when its done.
He said somewhere between 10 to 15 thousand. And I seen him a couple of days ago and asked him again. " . . . how much do you want for the car ?

He answered me and said, " That's the problem I really don't know what to charge?

QUESTION(S) Guys. How much would you guys pay $ for the car ?
Tell me what would be fair for the both of us.
Him to get and me to pay

He's really and good guy and I wouldn't try to screw him in anyway. With me,
friendship is everything. I came into this world with Nothing and I'm goin' Out with NOTHING.

I'm in your hands guys.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Hi Bosscat

WOW! That price seems very cheap to me.

I mean like at all the parts he's putting into the car and his labor.

I really would be embrassed to tell him I'd pay him $6,500.00 for the car.

Hey Thank you for you input.

GOD BLESS

I, personally, wouldnt pay more than $7500...just because its a fastback. If it were a coupe, I wouldnt pay more than $3500

pay

I bought a complete fastback (65) running in decent body shape for $7500 two years ago. Spend another $16,000 to get it nice. If you want to not go "under water", top dollar would be $7500..............
