How much E.T can I gain by removing the power steering?

Maybe a tenth...you could run a short belt to bypass the power steering at the track.

i agree with the bypass belt. are you running a belt around your smog pump too? ac?

I don't have a serpentine belt. I have V-belts unless I can just get a shorter V-belt.

Nate, I don't have a smog pump...no smog at all.

Depends on how fast you are now. When I used to run 9.7 in the 1/8th, I did a shortbelt bypassing the P/S and smog pump and dropped to 9.5.

Well i ran a 13.9@98 mph with a 1.9 60' with bolt on's.

Then I upped the timming from 15-17, installed a 180 deg thermostat, and ran a short belt(no p/s). I then with the same 60' being 1.9 I ran a 13.4@101mph.

I KNOW I could have done better because I kept dropping my times, from 13.7, 13.5, then 13.4 but I quit running because the line was getting LONG. It's a worthy mod and you will see a good difference.
