What is this car worth? T-bone accident, passenger side, door to rear axel pushed in about 2 inches. All glass intact. Runs fine, but needs radiator / fan. Insurance total.

1993GT hatchback, 5.0L, AOD
black, (full) grey interior, cloth.
3.73 gears, BBK equal length headers, Transgo shift kit, autometer gauges.
Stock motor. Runs strong, no oil issues.

Is this car worth anything intact or as parts?

Your thoughts are most appreciated.

Prolly worth more parted out. Stock longblock might get you $300, prolly could get $120 or so for the rear, or just the gears if you wanna pull them. I bet with the interior stuff and others, you might be able to get a little over 1k for it all.

It's sad, but it will be worth more parted out than complete.

Glass
Lights
Cowl Trim
Remaining Wheels
Wire harness
Engine
Trans
Interior
Hood
Bumper covers
etc.

are all worth $$$....

I put a huge amount of time into the car to bring it back from where it was (when I first got it) and I'd rather not spend anymore effort on it.

Several years ago my brother in law was having some trouble, financial and otherwise, so we reluctantly gave him my wifes 90GT since we had just bought her a convertible. He totalled it and I bought it back for $800. It was a really nice car too. Leather, chrome ponies, 3.55's...the works. I took great care of it and it was my wifes baby until the new car came along. It cost me another $3000 to get it fixed and I ended up selling it for $4000. Since I did most of the work myself I considered it a big loser.

I wouldn't touch a totalled car again unless I needed the parts. Walk away unless you can get it for $400 or less. Its a huge PITA to have a wrecked car laying around. Once you get the parts off, then you need to get rid of it. That's the worst part. If it was me I wouldn't bother.

Doesn't look that bad to me either. You should find out what needs to be replaced and if there is frame damage so go from there.

a word to the wise MAKE SURE that if you start to fix the car you complete your project or you will lose in the end and be more upset then you are now if it were me i would keep the car you know what you have how it was taken care of and so on buying another car could be more trouble then this one good luck either way (nice car)

I agree 100% with this theory. That is why I am paying $1500 to fix my cowl rather than buy a different body!

Car is for sale.
Hi neighbor. I'm in Portland Oregon.

Two estimates to fix were $5500 - $6500.....but it doesn't look that bad

You mean to get it repainted? I have a car in similar shape that I had a quote of $4,000.00.
Quote included:
New Bumper Cover Front / Rear
New Driver Front 1/4 panel
Lots of sanding / rust repair
New JY hatch
Single stage paint.

Keep shopping around if that was a quote for body work....

This post is off track here. I will restate the intent of the post: "What is this car worth AS-IS" If a for sale sign was placed on it what would a reasonable asking price be?

I have no plans to keep it or fix it.
