How much paint do I need??

Hi,
I did a search on this but couldn't find an answer. I am painting my interior and trunk and ceiling etc black. I have stripped the car to bare metal and visited my local paint shop. Because of UK regulations I have to use a cellulose primer and then a synthetic top coat for the black.
How much of both the cellulose and synthetic do you think I will need please, bearing in mind that it is better to buy too much.
