My car hasn't come in yet but I was wondering how many cats are on the 06 gt and how big is the diameter of the mid pipe? I believe I read it was 2.5 " on these models with only 2 cats?

If so would shelling out for an aftermarket catted midpipe really be worth it on these cars?

In short no its not really.

The factory exhaust is pretty good, unless you are goign with long tubes. Then a set of High Flow Cats and new mid pipe would be excellant. Though a mid pipe on its own is like the Shorty headers. Only a few HP, and thats mainly from either removing the cats or changing to high flow.

Think CAI and a 93 Tune to start off with. THis is by far most important.
