How To Install Wheel Studs

I got 3 broken ones right now, pep boys wants $85 to put em in. Maybe its just me but $85 for a $1.99 peice doesnt sound like fun to me. Any idea how to put these in?

knock the old ones out, and get an extra lug nut and
a washer and screw the studs throught using the
extra lug nut and washer.

correct me if im wrong.

What he said. Use a bunch of washers and 2 wrenchs and pull them through. No use spending money on something this simple. Unless there isn't enough room and you have to pull the axle then Id say just pay for it.

id personally get it done right. our wheel studs have to be pressed in with a machine from behind unless you get a different type of stud. i had to pay friggin $6 from ford cause no one carries our type of stud. then i had my shop put it in for about $15. i doubt doing 3 would be too much more cause its just mine with 2 more and would take about 5 more min i bet. thats jsut me....i want my wheels perfect

Thanx for posting this thread, reminds me to knock in new extended studs for my 94(or else I will get booted at the track).

I just hammered the old one out and tightened up the new one. didnt have a problem so far.
