How to remove body trim along A-pillar and above the door windows on 94-04 Mustangs?

Anybody know if the body trim along A-pillar and above the Door Windows needs to be removed to replace a windshield?

If so, How do you remove the painted A-Pillar body trim/moulding?

Edit: The FSM says it has to come off. The steps for windshield removal are:

Remove the RH and LH windshield side garnish mouldings. (The A-Pillars.)
Remove the interior rear view mirror.
Remove the sun visors and clips
Remove roof side trim moulding.
Lower front portion of the headliner
Remove two windshield wiper pivot arms
Remove cowl grille weatherstrip
Remove the cowl grille
Using a soft brush or vacuum clean any dirt or foreign material from the pinch weld.
"Distance" the glass from the body.
Using the special tool, cut the urethane adhesive and remove the windshield.

To remove that actual exterior piece you are speaking of,the service manual says:

"Remove the weatherstrip" below the piece.
"Remove the exterior roof side moulding screws" which appear to be the ones you uncover when removing the weatherstrip.
"Remove the interior roof side moulding screws" (the service manual points to 3 of them)
"Remove the roof side moulding screw" (looks like this is under the a-pillar)
Then it says to remove the upper quarter trim panel, which includes in the backseat on that side. Once you get that off, there should be 5 holes with some sort of nut or bolt recessed in them, those are the last 5 holding it on.
"Release the clips"
"Remove the nuts and roof side moulding"
