In my book it says to disconnect the spout connecter(terminal 36)which controls the electronic ignition advance.Do I have to do that or not.If I do could please tell me where it is.If anyone has any pictures it would be appreciated.Thanks.

YES, you must remove the spout connector before setting the base timing. It's a small 2 wire plug that's in with the distributor module harness. It's the small "shunt" sitting on top of the module harness in the middle of the picture.
