Got my car back from the Stealership, and the tech may have not fixed what I asked him to fix. But that's a longer story. The part am asking is 1. if code 34 can be set by a blocked EGR system 2. how do you test it for blockages besides physically check the new valve that moves, the new egr plate and the upper intake that has a passage that is clean. There are no gasket blocking type plates in between the parts. I wonder if the tech made an assumption. EXCEPT a previous owner who was racing it said he disabled the EGR. And even though I replaced ERG controller and went through all kinds of testing, it still spits out a code 34. Would someone have blocked off the passages while porting the heads? And how do i figure it out easily?
Would applying vacuum to the valve while running and then the car dying would confirm the system is open?
