I dont know if this is the right place to ask but i couldn't find a better place. How much HP does a stock 99 GT have? And what are the recommendations for exhaust on one of these. Thanks

260hp, they usually put down between 220-230 at the wheels. I would go with either SLP or Magnaflow for a cat-back.

A stock 99+ GT has 260 hp at the flywheel and about 225 at the rear wheels if it's a 5 speed. Not sure on an auto, but probably close to 215 rwhp. Others will no doubt chime in on that.

Exhaust recomendations? That's a loaded question. There are three main components to the exhaust: headers, mid pipe (x pipe or H pipe), and what is called a "cat back". The cat back is basically the mufflers. You can change one, two, or all three of them. Depends on your goals and budget and how well your choices work together. Many guys will replace the stock H pipe for an X pipe (with or without cats) and a cat back. A cat back alone will generally not add HP, but changes the sound. Changing the mid pipe will create the greatest HP gain. Changing all three sections can net as much as 30 hp and will run you $1000 - $1800+.

What exactly is the advantage of an X pipe over an H pipe?

Sound and tourqe. I think the H is supposed to give a little more torque from what I have heard but I am very happy from the power differance with my X
