So my car has well over 50k mostly highway miles on it now. Its black, and the rock chips in the front, and actually all over the car are ridiculous. It makes me sick to see it like that, but it is what it is. I am considering a Le Bra for the car, but haven't seen a good pic of one or had the pleasure of seeing one in person either to get an idea of the fit and finish. Does anybody have one or more ideas about them for the s197s? Thanks, my front bumper looks like lava rock from all the chips and pitting from driving and i remember that the one i put on my 90 LX looked great. Thanks for the input.

I kept a bra on my 1990 LX 5.0 for a very long time back in the 1990's

at the time it was reasonably stylish and I thought that it worked well for what it was intended for.

However, it too had a tendency to eat at the paint if you kept it on during rainy weather ...

the grit and water combined to turn the underside into a scrubbing pad and wore the paint thin in spots.

///

were I faced with your problem, I'd have the front repainted and purchase one of the new "clear bras" as a stone barrier.
