I am officially convinced that Camaros are crap

I drove my friends SS around the parking lot after work. This thing doesnt even feel like it has a clutch. I started it up and tried to get it out of first and got confused. Like I seriously thought that I wasnt holding in the clutch. I moved my foot and stalled it. Then I finally figured it out after getting out of the car and looking to see if I was actually putting my foot on the clutch or the footrest. So then I got it moving. Not impressed at all. I dunno if its because I have a 4v or whatever but this thing isnt all that responsive. I for real almost just parked it because I didnt want to drive it back to where he was at. Poo Poo

oh, and the shifter is at shoulder level. wft is up with that.

That's crazy.. maybe there's something wrong with that one..

I drove my buddy's '98 SS with a Spec Stage 3 and it was great.. nice and smooth

Another thing to remember about their clutches compared to ours.. their's are hydraulic

I test drove a 00 Z28 before I purchased my mustang
and I was not the least bit impressed either.The clutch
was not very forgiving I will tell you that.The clutch on my mustang feels 100X better.
Does your friend have a mullet or chew chewing tabbaco?

Nah.. no mullet or tobacco chewing here, altho I do give him lots of crap about it

It's always interesting to hang out with him and another one of our friends. When we park beside each other, it's my car, the Camaro SS and a blue SRT-4

Hydraulic clutches certainly do feel a lot different than the stang's cable clutch. Even driving my friend's Integra, I almost stalled it because of how suddenly it engages. I wouldn't say camaro's are crap though, the SS is pretty hot (IMO). I got a ride in an LS1 Z-28 and seeing my friend get the car sideways on the 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 shifts convinced me of the power those cars have

The clutch in my TA and my g/f's TA are both rather normal but I'm always driving different vehicles all the time at work so I could just be used to all the different clutch engagements and feel
and jumping from the Stang to the TA doesn't take any getting used to. I guess my biggest gripe about the TA is not being able to see where the nose ends [when you're sitting in the car you can only see about 1/3 of the front end before it dips down so you have to guess where the nose is when parking or turning]. I owned an old 68' Vette for years so you'd think that by now I'd be used to having to guess where the nose is but it still bugs me

I had a '98 Z28. The drivetrain was amazing. Solid, powerful and smooth. The rest of the car was crap. I had it for 2 years before I totaled it and had to replace the rotors twice and each of the window regulators and motors. The crap Monsson speakers blew too, several times. They had a lot of build quality issues. But the LS1 and T56/4L60E were solid!

I had the 4L60E and stock ran 13.4's all day, consistantly.

funny you should mention the window motors. My friend replaced the passenger side motor in his 94 Z-28, and it broke the next day lol.

I drove my friends 93 V6...I don't know if they're all like this, but I swear his was like sitting in a recliner...your feet don't go down at all they go straight out like you're sitting on the floor...I didn't like it at all...
