Are you sure you don't have 3.27's or 3.55's?
I know I have 3.08's (w/5 speed), and although I'm not sure exactly where the tach is at 80mph, I'm positive its under 2500.

I agree, I was just in my car yesterday and I remember it being around 2200-2300 rpm's. BTW, I can't seem to justify getting gears when this thing can cruise at 85 and knock down around 25 mpg.

Ya mine came with 410s and it was screaming at 85 -90 mph.and that was driving me nuts.I put in the 308s..I use it as a daily driver and do 80 miles aday..I like the low rpms on the highway ,being able to shift down to 4th or 3rd to sceam by someone and still have all that gear left and ya the gas is bearable and the heat stays down. The 410 wa s fun ,but first gear was too short.

With my T5, and 3.73's, 70 is 2250 rpms, 80 mph is 2600 rpms. 90 is 3000 rpms.

Hows that possible? Whats the 5th gear ratio in your x2c tremec? I do about 2300 in 5th with my 373's.

To the original poster, sounds like you have 373's if your taching that high @ 80 mph. For the record, my friend did 100mph in 5th with 273's @ omly 2500 rpm.
