well i saw this car sitten on the highway with a good price on it, and came back with cash the next day. In the next couple weeks im gonna get it repainted because the factory paint is pitted around the fenders, while its getting painted i plan on buying some cobra r rims for it also, and having the leather seats reupholstered is on my list as well. I plan on keeping this thing as factory as possible. i took these pics a lil while ago but its dark and the car is very dirty, ill have to get some better ones in the day tommorow.

it runs good, blows a little smoke when i start it but i heard thats a common issue, and when its cold it grinds sometimes when i shift from first to second, i dunno if thats a serious issue or not, it dont do it when its warm, its just awesome how hard it pulls once boost builds up though

Valve stem seals are probably going out, or the car's been sitting awhile. After sitting all winter, my thunderbird would smoke real bad on deceleration and on startup for about a month, but then it would clear up and it would only smoke a little on startup.

It's not much different than the 5.0...just gotta either put rope in the cylinder to hold the valves up or use compressed air. I think the main problem is getting a valve spring compressor on the springs with the cam still in the car because it can get in the way.

But, before you go to the trouble of changing the seals, might try driving the car for awhile and see if it clears itself up. Like I said it could just be from the car sitting for awhile and the seals have dried out.

They all sag, unless you put a support in the middle of the upper spoiler...

Won't find any new ones...and if you do you'll pay big $$$ for it. You can fab your own upper bi-wing support too. Also, Lee Clary over at E&G Classics (http://www.egclassic.com) has rebuilt the wings in the past. If you want to re-do the leather too- that's the guy you need to talk to as well. He sells a leather kit that is as close to the factory originals you can get. Good luck with the car!

a little support right in the middle of the sagging wing will make it perfectly level again. I painted my support flat black, you don't even see it.

Congrats on the car.
