I got lucky

Well kinda. Last night I decided to drive the Stang to work since I have been neglecting it lately. So I'm inside working and I start hearing thunder which isn't too uncommon, I don't mind driving my car in the rain or have it get rained on. Well pretty soon I hear a noise on the roof of the building, keep in mind I work in a plastic injection molding plant so it is pretty loud in areas, I race over to the door and there is 2 inch hail coming down! So I'm freaking out, the lady with the new Lexus is freaking out, and another guy with a Audi S4 is freaking out. When I left work I didn't even want to see my car because I was sure the roof and hood would look like a golf ball, but after looking carefully at the roof, hood, and trunk lid there are no dents! I'll have to wait until tonight to find out how the lady's Lexus and the guy's Audi fared since they leave before I do.

Anyone else have something like this happen to them?

yeah, on the 01 GT I used to have. it got 6 or 7 good dings from the hail before i got it into the garage, the worst was on the rubberish window trim on the bottom of the window pass. side. No roof damage though cause it was a vert

Man are you lucky! Back in 1993 when the terrible hail-storm blew threw Dubuque, you would of crapped your pants to see the kind of damage. I happened to be a mechanics shop with a steel roof when it came down and it sounded like the roof was coming in on us. We stood by the overhead door and watched baseball sized hail come down on everything. That was some crazy sheet!!!! Oh, thankfully the Mustang that I owned at the time was in the garage and I was driving my beater.

Update: The Lexus has a few dents in the roof and hood and the S4 looks to be fine.

Meh. The reason the lady has the Lexus is that her and her husband work as much overtime they can (2 people working 2 12 hours shifts each day of the weekend adds up to some serious cash). They have a small house and their daughter and her husband live with them. She does have some nice jewelry and some very expensive purses. The guy with the S4 bought it used, I'm not sure what year it is though.

Yeah my friends bought a C230 Kompressor for 15k recently so it is a buyers market on some of the more expensive cars if you are looking in the right spots but I digress, glad to hear that the cars didn't get beat up too bad(yours and the Audi that is) hope it's not too bad for the Lex...
