Badass stance:

Definitely needs some grinding and bondo work, but it's actually even better than it was before the wreck. At some point before I owned the car, it had been hit, and the front end was way off as far as panel alignment and such. My body guy straightened the entire frame, and he said the front was off about an inch. Everything in front lines up now, which helps a lot. He fixed some rust that was starting to eat through the driver's side quarter (you can see the primered spot in the stance pic). Before, my hatch striker was rusted out and would barely hold the hatch shut. I ghetto rigged the rusty pieces together the night before the accident, and of course all that got trashed. I had a spare piece lying around, so I gave that to the guy and he welded it in and lined it all up, so now my hatch closes even better than it did before.

I got hit on the way to the exhaust shop.....and now I still need exhaust, lol. At least I have it back to work on again.

Getting Close.. Nice! i just about have all the parts to put mine back together too, but if it stays in Single Digit temps, its not getting worked on. I see you went to SVO taillights.. Great minds think alike apperently, cause thats what im doing too. All i need now is the Bumper absorbers, and a hood. Then a paintjob of course..

The tails are my buddy's, I borrowed them so the body guy could align everything. If I can find a good set of '83-'86 lights soon, though, I'm definitely gonna stripe 'em up.

Lol it's been uber cold here too, it sucks. I think my wastegate is flapping open but it's too cold to mess with it.

Cool man! Glad to see it coming back!

As for weather. At least yours is consistant. The weather here keeps teasing us. It's in the 80's during the week, then a cold front will move in and we have freeze warnings over the weekend. You can't get anything done

Did they end up pulling out that rear quarter? I gotta say they did a pretty good job on it considering how it looked before.

Yeah, it was pulled out. Evidently it had already been replaced at some point before I owned the car, so my body guy didn't want to do that again. It's surprisingly straight now, just needs the pull welds to be ground down and puttied.

Even back by the taillight?

Must be a good bodyman. When my rear quarter got pushed in (car was backed into), I took it to a local body shop and they pulled the dent out. It looked like crap. They put a bunch of dings in it with a hammer and didn't smooth them out.

Yeah, the stock color is Bright Red. I believe it's the same color that's now called Torch Red. I've seen 30,000 mile Bright Red and it looks awesome, so I'm keeping it.

Are you going to put a wing on the back? The more I look at it, the more I like it wingless.

I agree, I am thinking about pulling the wing off of my '86 now!
