Mine's a V6 too. *cries* I thought my Capri was going to die so I bought my parent's old Stang they traded in for an '06. I basically regret that decision since my Capri is my DD. '04 is sitting in the garage with a screwy clutch.
It's one of the door panel trim pieces.
