Well....in three monthes I will no longer be the owner of a 2.3L mustang. It's sad....I love my little N/A...but her time is soon to end. She has over 200k miles on her. A lot of problems have been surfacing as well, one of my door handles broke off. My tranny slips worse that a ball covered in baby oil. It's starting to vibrate when I hit over 55. If I push her once.....I have to let her cool down before she has ANY get up and go AT ALL. Which this makes me curious. When I floor it to like 70 or 80 and let off for a little bit, the car becomes really sluggish. Anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this?

Anyway, the Mustang will be sold....*tear*....I'm getting aan '89 Honda (I know....don't say ricer) Accord LXi. The Accord is nice though. Toyo tires all the way around on American Racing Wheels. It's a 5 speed (compared to the auto in my 2.3). It's got 120k miles. Everything works great except the driver side window doesn't work right (damn power windows to hell!). The car has at least 50 horsepower up on my 2.3 and has probably about 10 lbs of torque more.

Don't worry though. I won't be ricing my accord out. Cold air intake, exhaust (w/ a resonator of course), a good stereo, and a paintjob are all that are in store for it. Maybe some HID headlights....but we'll see. My Dad is selling me the Accord because he's going to be buying a new car. I'm honestly excited....but there will always be a place in my heart for a four banger mustang.

Looks like a decent car. Though your stang still has more tq (by factory ratings anyways).

I've got mine up to 115 with a buddy driving next to me to tell me my speed (since the speedo only says 85).

I can't recall where I got my info from, but the Honda had 140 horses... maybe it's innacurate but I've driven a stang that could smoke V8's (this one was a six) and I've driven an RSX type S (which was pretty damn fast if I do say so myself) and this Honda is pretty quick as well in comparison. Not as fast but still fast...especially in comparison to my 2.3

Whoa! How long did it take to get to 115mph?

I fear that I would have to take vacation to get mine up there.

I just don't think a weekend is enough time.

Maybe when I get everyting fixed on it, I'll see how fast it is.

not sure, it pulled steadily to 115, once I hit 115 I was afraid to gas it any more because I was close to my redline. I was on the turnpike so time wasnt really an issue
