I have gaps at the top window on both windows...common problem?

Okay, I have two pretty visible gaps of my windows when the door is shut.

If standing, facing the driver side door...it is on the door handle end in the top corner. Same for the passenger side.

Is this a common problem to develop a gap? Is the weatherstripping smashed down...it seems to be pretty linear with the rest of stripping.

The car has been rearended...but I wonder if this is the problem?

Just curious on some thoughts...

Window problems are common. You can either take the car to a good body and trim shop and get it fixed or you can pull the door panel off and inspect/align/repair.

It seems to be bigger at some points, and sometimes no gap...like if I'm driving...weird.

I have this annoying problem on the driver side back window on my 'vert. There is a good sized gap from the window and the weather stripping (mainly noticible because of the tint when sitting inside the car. Everytime I get in the car I give the back window just a slight tug upward and that usually helps it a little bit.

Built Ford Tough.

After my '98 got rear-ended the passenger side window would not completely seal when I closed it with the door closed. If I open the door and completely close the window it seals fine. It just probably needs adjusting but that's low on my list right now.

Heh, I have an opposite problem, and my car had rear ended something once before in it's life. When the window is all the way up, the top of the glass scrapes the molding on the top of the car. It's real noticable when you go to close the door on the outside, you can see where it hits. My friend rear ended a truck in the front right corner, but the problem with the window didn't surface until almost a year later. Weird. Maybe I need to get rear ended to have everything straightened out. Hell, one of you guys could rear end me, and the windows will all fix themselves. Then, cobra body kits on the house!
