I just gotta cover the front-end of the '89. Are these things bad or good to use? I don't want a shiney one, just a matte finish to make it look a little meaner for a while.

Someone sell me their old that they don't use anymore.

I bought one for my car to hide some nasty front bumper damage until it gets painted. Company is lebra installation is fairly easy but it doesn't seem like it would take much to rip it off. As for looks it didn't make my car to nasty just looks like a leather cover up front.

Ive seen those things scratch and rot out hoods.
Id rather have a bunch of stone chips than one of those hideous things.

Never never leave a bra on all of the time. I run one if I'm making a trip more than 2 hrs. away and then remove it when I get there, and it does save you from stone chips. On a daily driver-no. The only one I would buy is Colgan.

Yeah, I got a noticeable dent in the front of the hood and a hole in the delrin front bumper cover. It is my mean daily driver, but these battle scars are just a bit much. The hood likely needs replacing and the also the bumper cover. Not to mention, they'd both need painting. $$$$$$$$

Any other temporary suggestions?

Fill the dent and the hole with used chewing gum Bra's are way 80's. I had one on my first stang in 89 and I remember the instructions saying not for use over 60 mph

Bra's on sports cars are the biggest sin ever! It just takes away from the sportiness of it. Maybe if it was a 1970's grandma car.

Okay, I'll go braless. I'll try yet another body shop and see if someone will pop out the dent. I haven't had any luck with the dent kits.

As for the hole, the bumper is an off-white color. I'll spray paint it black through the hole to disguise it.

Of course, along with the Flowmaster rumble, the car says "don't **** with me" as it is. I kinda like that.

Looks like you could give the hood a good wack from the underside and it should looks better then it does now

The hood has an inner sheet of metal and the outer sheet.
