Hello, I'm looking for mirrors for my 64.5 coupe. I Have all the emblems shaved on the car and it is fairly clean looking. I had went threw 3 different brands of mirrors on my old 66 and still did not find one that did not rust in a year. I'm looking for a mirror that will not rust and look bad, so I don't mind paying a little more for quality. They are going on a very nice car and I would hate to have to replace them in a year and drill new holes in the door for a different mirror. Anybody make a good polished or bright dip anodized aluminum one? Thanks for the input. (I had the repo bullet one on my 66, that rusted too.) If you know where I can get a nice set, please let me know! Thanks for the input!

You have to be careful. There are probably 5 different makers of mirror for the 64-66, and they range in quality from "economy" to "concours". This is one of those cases where you get what you pay for.

Since you have shaved all of the emblems have you considered painting the mirrors body color?

I have had good luck with these, but I live in the desert where nothing rusts.
