take the damn caps off!!!

The speed density won't have any issues with the bigger intake, bigger throttle body, or even better heads. Just leave your cam stock, or get a specific speed density cam. the cam is the speed density killer, not the intake. I'm running speed density with gt40p heads and intake, no problems.

idk, I'm JUST learning in depth about this kind of stuff, and I JUST finished my motor install and am still wrapping it up...Mass air is in the future for sure, I've got all the conversion parts already. I'm gonna wait for a future cam install.

Actually if the car is in a decent condition of tune...he probably will run a bit leaner than a mass air car, but still safe, ford made sure to be well on the side of conservative. Mass air is a nice swap if the car starts giving you any idle headaches though.

You can leave the spacer off unless you have a adjustable fuel press. regulator or tall valve covers.

All a spacer will do is make the intake runner longer....it kind of negates the reason for replacing the stocker...a shorter runner will make more power higher up on the rpm curve. I'm guessing that you are using a street heat right? No sense in using a spacer.

Stock on stock speed density will make more power than mass air. Most after market ignitions are speed density...like DFI. Mass air is more adaptive and better for drivablity.
