I NEED HELP!!

i rebuilt a 92 mustang with my uncle but he left early to iraq. so i have the car to myself now. what did was change out all the fuel lines power stearing lines brake line etc... we put in a explorer 5.0 motor and converted it to mass air. i took out the 4 cyl car harness and got one from a 91 gt and put it in mine. hooked up pretty much everything that i could. starter relay is hooked up running a cable to the starter. hooked up a battery and hooked up cables, tried to start start up. but nothing at all happened no lights or sounds. im pretty much in a jam right now. so any help would really be appreciated. thanks

did you get all the fuseable links hooked up? The battery good?

i pulled a positive cable out of a thunderbird 5.0 looks pretty much the same to me. but i cant seem to find that fusible link off the harness. this is my first mustang. i only know so much. so bare with me if im not so smart with this lol

alright so i switched the cables around on the starter relay. the lights and all work now. but the car wont crank over, cant even hear the fuel pump kick in. any help on that?

You need to print out both of Jrichker's lists (the no-crank checklist and the cranks but no-start checklist). Otherwise, we will be throwing out thousands of random ideas. WIth the lists, you can systematically test and confirm that everything is ready to go (you will have cranking issues and then no-start issues, I'm sure).

well did some researched about a starter relay diagram saw a pretty simple one and looked under my car and realized i didnt have that little spade wire hooked up to the starter. maybe thats the problem?

That little spade not being connected will not keep you from having lights or anything other than a car that won't crank.

If you have no lights (as noted in post one), you have another issue going on as well.

well i got all the lights working now. dash lights headlight etc.. car just wont even try to start up
