Not sure if you were asking for location or the Steeda box - I got this kit through Summit (Part # G1231-K).

i could be wrong, but i think he has his spare removed because of how the box looks sunken into the spare area. do you have a shut off switch outside the car? i thought NHRA required one on any car with the battery in the trunk.

I don't have a spare in the car - I carry a can of Fix-A-Flat. Also, no shut off switch - tech has not noticed yet ! Rockingham is an IHRA track - tech is almost non-existent on Street Night.

My local tracks tech inspection is a joke, too. I fail to see the point in making a switch on the rear of the vehicle if the battery is relocated. What's the difference between it and the factory battery? I mean, I can understand failing a car for inspection if the installation is a botched job and looks dangerous ...

I agree nasty. if it was that much of a hazard they would require a switch with the battery in the factory location.

I am assuming that it is because if there was an accident a power cable running from back to front, through the metal body could pose more of a problem than only a cable a few feet long under the hood.
