I have 235/60/15s right now any when i first got them (new), they were rubbing pretty good on the part of the fender that is twords the front of the car. now im not sure if they were rubbing during normal driving, but in parking lots and u-turns they did. it didnt touch the part twords the rear. i am looking to get cobra rs within about a week and they would be 17x8s and 17x9 in the rear. they would be wrapped in 255/40R-17s. will those be much bigger? i would hate to buy rims and have to worry about it every time i turned.

if they do rub. is there anything i can do??? trim the inside of the ground effect in front on the wheels (previous owner did that a little bit)??? spacers???

17x8 should be fine in the front and u could even go 10 in the rear, but i have 17x9 all around, and i only rub when u turn the wheel ALL the way like u said for uturns or parking, it rubs the side skirt part, inside the wheelwell so 17x8 should be fine, not exactly sure tho, those rims r gonna look sick on ur car, i no they did on mine

EDIT: the rubbing isnt even that big of a deal either it dosent rub that much, and on normal driving it never does, and it dosent rub the top either i went over a bunch of bumps even at high speeds and nothing rubbed, good luck with your rims

you have a 93' they had different fenders though. yours allow for bigger tires. im pretty sure they fit fit on mine with a little rubbing. but do big deal.

I have tha same fenders as you, mine is an '89... if you get 8s in front and 9s out back (like mine)... put a 245/45R17 tire on the front and a 275/40R17 tire on tha back (Nitto i suggest! ) I only experience some rubbing when i cut the wheels almost all tha way in tha front and tha back used to rub on the quadshocks but I installed some 1/4" spacers and it doesn't rub anymore... I never flipped the quadshock however... that would solve tha problem without even using a spacer...

im getting the wheels off of ebay. they come with the 255/40R-17 tires on there. those are a little taller than urs right??
i know it will probably rub some, but i mean, would it seriously rub, like @ left turns from a intersection and stuff.
how hard is it to 'flip a quad'???
and finally, how much did the 1/4" spacers cost, & where did u get them.

THANX
