ya.. I think i'm gonna start looking for replacement.

I love my car and thought i would never think about it. But its now banged up, after picking it up at the bodyshop, and seems that bodyshop is just not capable of fixing it right, and line is still off...

I feel horrible for even think about it, but i just don't want it now that she is banged up.
SO I'm gonna look for something. More then likely Cobra convertible.

I called my highschool friend who works at the dealer i bought my GT from 3 years ago in NY, and told him to start looking.
I told him to look for cobra. But i don't think i can afford Terminater, specially if i want convertible.

So we'll see what happens...

Get a Cobra Coupe instead. You will save yourself some money if you don't buy a convertible. Or you can buy another Mustang GT.

Spend the money on a good lawyer, and work out this crappy mess with that Aholes insurance...

I wouldn't give up on the car so easy. Take the car to a reputable shop.

Heck paying top dollar to have entire panels replaced will leave you ahead in the end.

To reply to Hence, I thought about that. Infact, i still am. Truth of the matter is that I'm just tired of this mess. Its been almost month and half dealing with this crop, with seems like no end in site. Its 3rd time they redid the job, and its just nor right. Everyone i've talk to said that they can't see how its off. If you look at it, it look perfect. But if you look at left side and right side, its off. Sure i can become total A-hole, and get layer involved. And i might get car fixed. But in the end, its still banged up car. I think this is where i'm boiling down to. No matter how nice they fix the car, its "previously damaged car". If someone is gonna pull carfax on it, it'll show up saying had a body domage.

I just don't want that.

i'm thinking pre-terminater Cobra Vert. I like to get Terminater(and NO S197 either), and i know that they are somewhere in range of $20k~$25k for coupe, and $25k~$30k for vert. Now that we are comming out from season, i may be able to get it little cheaper. But truth is that i just can't afford insurance for terminater. Pre-03 cobra vert will increase insurance as well, but nowhere near as much as terminater will. And being full time student, thats as far as i can go.
I might even thing about GT vert. If i can find one in screaming deal.

Once him and i come up with some numbers, and whats out there, I'm gonna start taking stuff off of my car. Bodykit/side exhaust, wheels, headers, stereo, all other little thing. So whatever i get, it'll be qickly turned in to something look similer to what i have now, except its Vert, and prolly not True Blue..

Keep your car.. get a lawyer and have the entire quarter panel replaced.

Find a GOOD shop and it'll look just like stock.

At the shop I worked at they did that stuff, they fixed it and it looked PERFECT. In fact, I saw a mustang that had a quarter panel replaced one night out in town and didn't realize it until I read the license plate.. Then I looked at it and thought I was seeing crap until the owner came out and asked if I worked at the body shop. So come on mity, it can be done!

Ya... I pushed for new fender. But they wouldn't go for that.

This really sucks, as all this because some ****wad had to back in to it month and half ago.
For once, i wasn't doing anything bad. And all this crop i have to deal with...

Well, I'm gonna be little picky with this one if I'm gonna to do it. Like interior color, milege, condition and stuff. So its not going to be anytime soon.
And as far as this bodyshop goes, trust me. words are spredding FAST in this town.

You see, I think i'm nice easy going guy. As few of you who met me(tho very few) know. People generally likes me in this town(including most ricers, and GM cloud). People generally gets pissed off whe one of their friend gets screwed

Just so that you guys have some idea what kind of crop I'm dealing with here .

Just because i may trade my car doesn't mean i hate the car. She was dirty, so i washed it today. and my rear valance starts to come part. Appearently, they used some sort of water soluable adhesive to sttach them to body...WTF?!

And This is the pic of section where they just can't match the shape. I know its not good pic, but pay close attention to right next to tail light - how body shape is closely matched with tail light on passenger side, and how its burged out on driver side, as well as how gap is off between tail light and trunk lid. I've highlighted it, so hopefully you can see what I'm seeing...

Nah. I will stick with Mustang. Driving C-5 makes me feel old.
$20k+ for decent used LS-1 C-5 or $20K+ for nice Terminater...

I think Choice is abvious

BTW, i'm looking at the my own pic above, and can't help but notice i got fat fingers. I need to hit the gym...
