Doing some spirited driving just now shifting at about 6200-6300 and heard somewhat of a pop.. Got home like a mile later and stopped the car was idling around 500 and bouncing everywhere sounded like it had a big cam with a big miss every few fires. My tune was pretty much dead on 12.0-11.8 A/F and I was only making 377 std.. Is it possible I damaged something internally or should I look for a fouled plug or something of that nature. The SCT shows NO CODES. All pipes intake and discharge are connected as well as oil lines and there was no smoke coming from the heads when I opened the oil filler with the car off. Smells very rich when you try to fire it and it dies upon firing.

does it make a tapping noise when idling? Did you check all the plugs? You might have just blown a plug.

Oh yeah stop spinning up that high! I only spin to 6k RPM and IMO that's why my motor has lasted where others haven't. However I do launch at 6150 (rev limiter)

I'd start with the plugs. That was a problem I've frequently had with the 4.6 in my F150.

yea I blew a plug out and it was similiar...what you might have heard was the top of the COP hit the bottom of the fuel rail...just pull each plug and I bet you find a problem somewhere.
