I just had a killer shortblock built. I used a Scat 4340 forged crank, H beam rods, forged JE pistons, Clevite 77 main and rod bearings, Childs and Albert rings, and a dart sportsman block. I purchased the roating assembly and block from Kevin at: http://www.kskustoms.com
He internally balanced the rotating assembly, and did a lot of other trick little things to the block. This shortblock should be good into the 4 digit power range. His work is second to none and it doesn't leave his shop unless its perfect. He's a member here too and I HIGHLY recommend him. I'd ALWAYS rather deal with someone on a personal level when having something like this built, and the mail order companies didn't offer this like Rick does.
Chris, have you contacted Rick at RNH yet to see what one would cost through him? I bet you'd be surprised, and I know I'd rather deal with him than an ebay company.
If you truly want a reliable combo, save your money for an aftermarket Dart or FRPP "R" block.
With anything else your throwing your money away trying to use anything but the stock block/internals. With a turbo setup you'll split that brand new block with new internals just as easily as the stock shortblock as you'll reach the limits of the stock block itself. Now…quite often when the block lets go….all those fancy rods, pistons, rings etc. will often be quite unusable.

it sounds as though (by your l33t txt msging) you're about 16 years old though...so I'd hold off on that turbo for a while until you learn how to control the new power a fresh and stroked block will bring
oh and if you want a turbo setup done right, it will cost over $10,000 for the engine alone (not including new transmission, clutch, rearend, tune etc.)
