i want to polish all my brackets, what do i need, and where do i get it? help?

well. its summer. i have money in the bank, and no job anymore.. and my engine is down to the pistons.. everything is off..

so its time to sand down and polish up all those brackets, to match the chrome alternator and polished throttle body i bought...
sorry for posting about this, but i searched and found nothing. and all the URLS i had in my favorites were on my computer, and the power supply melted. so im on the family one.

anyways.
what tools do i need? dremel? sanding wheel? what grits? how many do you think? which buffing wheels and compounds etc etc

and if you could price this out for me it would be great.
or post urls of information on this. i remember one stangnet member had one. and pictures of his entire engine polished on a stand. wow it was great looking.


i need something to keep me occupied over summer
and something to do while im waiting a week on the machine shop to port and polish my twisted wedge heads

Do a seach for "polishing", you'll see everything you need.

www.eastwoodco.com has all the stuff you'll need, so does your local Sears.

Sand paper, buff compounds, a drill, buff wheel shank, and that's it. A vice, DA polishers for sanding, tapered sand rolls, and different sized buffs are optional and help out too.

almost stock, i have to say that is the most beautiful engine i have ever seen. i saw a pic of it sitting in the car, but i have to say seeing it makes my heartpound. if i end up with anything half as nice as that, i will be satisfied. people like you, are what make it fun for people like. excellent.

almost stock you have far too much patience I tried to do my intake and it almost went across the shop a couple of times. Amazing job!

I've also lost a piece (not the intake) while I was using a Baldor Buffer, and that's why I decided to use the drill, it’s a lot safer.
