Idler Pulley? WHat does it do?

I dont have an idler pulley? Affects? I know I usually have some of the simplist/retarded questions but I didn thave the right size belt and couldt wait to get it running. Also the connector to my alternator is melted and mishaped. I managed to get it plugged in and working ok but I have a slight glith in the car when full throttle. I have full power then a split second it seams like a missed spark i checked all plugs and wires they are 100% what could it be?

Is there any way to adjust tension? I'm thinking maybe they added a adjustable alt or something. I don't know why else anybody would remove a tensioner.

Must be a bitch to take that belt on/off without a tensioner on there.

The tensioner is on there to keep the belt from slipping and leave tension on the belt drive system. You definitely should have it. I would get another one.

You should buy a new connector for that alternator as well. You should be able to pick one up at any local auto parts store.
