Vortech V1 Idler Pulley Newedge

I’m in need of a little bit of part number assistance. I’m piecing together a Vortech V1 S trim kit for a 2002 Mustang GT and am in the final stages. I went on Vortech to find an idler pulley (4FL116-150) and to my shock it was around $80 dollars. Has anyone out there used a cheaper alternative and/or have the part number from it. I have done some research and it seems that some Mercedes used a 6 rib idler pulley that is 65.4mm, the Vortech idler uses a 66.04mm (2.6 inch) pulley, would this work in the setup or would there be too much slack in the belt. Any help or input would be appreciated, thank you.

Can you fit an 8-rib Mustang idler pulley in there somehow? Is this one that is spring loaded or is it a fixed bare pulley?

If it's a fixed bare pulley, you can put pretty much whatever you want in there. 8-Rib, 6-Rib, it doesn't really matter. All it's doing is taking up belt length. The diameter isn't really that important either. You might need to get a longer/shorter belt to accommodate the pulley.

I tried Googling "Vortech 4FL116-150" and it showed a bunch of different idler pulleys for a lot less money. Of course they're not all the same diameter though. I guess one way to go about it is search on industrial suppliers sites for idler pulleys and find one that would work? Try this for example:

I don't know how the belt system works on the Vortech, but if it's anything like an ordinary serpentine system with a tensioner I think you could probably just use a pulley that's "close enough" and make it work. For example, I'd go with the 2-3/4" pulley since it's only about .125" (1/8") larger in diameter.
