My z bar is coming loose on the engine side. I can pop it back in but it won't stay after I push in the clutch a few times. What is causing this and what do I need to fix it?

did you check the framse side mount to make sure it isnt loose? and there's a plastic bushing that goes on the end of the block mount, might be worn out..

Sounds like the frame side mount needs to move closer to the engine to keep the z bar tighter. If there's a lot of side to side flop in the z bar, you might have to change out the plastic bushings that are on the mounts, both engine side and frame side.

What's the best way to get the z bar out? I got all new bushings and washers.

the engine side mount unbolts from the block, and you just swing the arm out most of the time. the chassis side mount also unbolts if you need it to.

It's not really that hard, but if you have full length headers, a few choice four letter words really help.
