Well if sky was the limit, I wouldn't waste my time on the NA route. I would do a twin turbo setup on 4V heads with all the supporting mods and make 900+hp.

Realistically though, I would just settle for a intercooled 9psi KB/Mongoose kit and save myself from the headaches of achieving 900hp and maintaining a car with that much power.

NA is a waste of time any way you look at it.

everyone is different though. some people see going the n/a route on a 2v modular as a chalange the OP may just be one of those guys.

N/A is naturaly asperated like what you have now. and FI is forced induction like a supercharger or turbo. Boost is a modulars best friend since ford screwed us on displacement

with the way manufacturers are upping the hp staying n/a wont be a safe bett for beating people. do some homework BOOST is the way to go. the most you will be able to make n/a on a 2v is around 350 hp and thats pushing it.

An all motor 2V isnt exactly going to be able to beat anyone on the streets. What is the max power someone got out of a built 2V, 450 horse at the wheels maybe?

At the very least get some juice to accompany a nice built n/a motor.

a while ago i was thinking the same for my setup but come to find out it wouldnt be enough, all i wanted to do was beat my freinds camero at the track, problem is he is
putting down 350hp/365tq at the rear wheels on a 01 z28 with LT and o/r y pipe, and a tuner.i have to agree boost is the way to go,it just depends how fast you want to be

A N/A 4.6 would be a fun motor if you could do it on the right budget.

If you can get a good deal on cams, longtubes, and a tune you will have a fun GT so long as you have gears... Add in heads (the big $) and even more potential.

After taking my bolt on GT w/ 130k on it around a race track today I was really impressed what it had in it.

Aye. There are traditionalists that feel NA is the only true way, but I'm no longer one of them. I originally started with (and really wanted) an NA setup but the bang for the buck is no comparison. And with the Hemi Charge, Challenger and soon to be Camaro out, you're not going to compete with these guys. Just an opinion though.
